JANE RODGERS

Ms. Rodgers joined Markham Law Firm as a Senior Associate Attorney in 2022. She represents clients in a broad range of family law matters, including issues such as divorce, domestic violence, pre- and post- nuptial agreements, adoptions, custody and guardianship.
Ms. Rodgers joined Markham Law Firm after practicing for over seven years at a boutique firm in Bethesda where she also gained varied experience in civil and criminal matters including landlord/tenant matters and misdemeanor criminal defense and traffic matters.
Ms. Rodgers received her law degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Washington, DC in May, 2013 and her Bachelor’s Degree from McDaniel College, Westminster, MD; B.A., in May 2008.
Ms. Rodgers serves as counsel for children in contested custody matters, both as a Best Interest Attorney and Child’s Privilege Attorney. She is on the roster of Court-appointed counsel in guardianship matters in Montgomery County. Ms. Rodgers has also completed 40 Hour Mediation & Interest-Based Negotiation Skills Training and serves as an attorney facilitator for the Montgomery County Circuit Court.
Prior to entering private practice, she clerked for the Honorable John W. Debelius, III, the Montgomery County Circuit Court Administrative Judge.
Ms. Rodgers currently serves as Co-Chair to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, and is on the Executive Board of the Montgomery County chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland.
Ms. Rodgers was a Fellow of the Montgomery County Bar Association Leadership Development Academy, completing her fellowship in 2018.

She is additionally an active member of the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland, Montgomery County Chapter where she serves on the Executive Board and as Co-Chair of the Social Committee. She is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Inns of Court, the Maryland Association for Justice and the American Bar Association.
